California High School Basketball - Linden can't hold off River Islands
January 8, 2025: Lathrop, CA 95330 River Islands Riptide (Lathrop, CA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Linden Lions (Linden, CA), 56-55 in a non-league match.
With the victory, River Islands advances its record to 8-6 on the year. The Riptide travel to Ripon (Ripon, CA) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Friday, January 10. The Indians enter the match with a record of 8-8. Ripon won 60-46 in their recent league match against Hughson (Hughson, CA)
The Lions now own a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Big Valley Christian for a Mother Lode League match on Friday, January 10. Linden will face a Lions squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Tioga (Groveland, CA). The Lions record now stands at 10-3.
