Illinois High School Basketball - Meridian defeats Maroa-Forsyth
January 8, 2025: Macon, IL 62544 The Meridian Hawks (Macon, IL) basketball were winner over the visiting Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL), 50-41 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Hawks now possess a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Central A & M for a Central Illinois bout on Friday, January 10. Meridian will play a Raiders team coming off a 75-56 non-league loss to Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, Maroa-Forsyth falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Trojans host Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL) to play the Rockets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Tolono Unity lost 56-45 in their recent non-league bout against Normal University (Normal, IL)
