Illinois High School Basketball - Amboy holds off Somonauk/Leland
January 8, 2025: Amboy, IL 61310 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Amboy Clippers basketball team scored a close 41-39 triumph over the Somonauk/Leland Bobcats.
The Clippers (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Fulton (Fulton, IL). The Steamers go into the Northwest Upstate Illini - South contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Fulton nipped Morrison (Morrison, IL), 66-33, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Bobcats confront the Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Somonauk/Leland will attempt to better on its 4-13 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 9-8 record after their 57-40 non-league loss to Coal City (Coal City, IL).
