The Rogers Vikings basketball squad (Newport, RI), was nudged 53-49 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Lincoln School Lynx (Providence, RI)

With the victory, Lincoln School advances its record to 6-0 on the year. The Lynx host North Providence (North Providence, RI) to meet the Cougars in a Division III battle on Monday, January 13. The Cougars enter the battle with a record of 3-2.

The Vikings now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Providence for a Division II battle on Friday, January 10. Rogers will meet a Townies squad coming off a 43-38 league win over Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI). The Townies record now stands at 4-2.
