In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting West Union Eagles basketball team scored a good 53-43 win over the Myrtle Hawks.

The Eagles (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against Ingomar (New Albany, MS). The Falcons come into the non-league contest with a 17-1 record. In their last contest, Ingomar defeated South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS), 55-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Thrasher Rebels (Booneville, MS) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Myrtle will attempt to better on its 8-11 season record. The Rebels come into the contest with a 18-1 record after their 55-51 non-league win over New Site (New Site, MS).
