South Dakota High School Basketball - Baltic overwhelmed by Vermillion
January 8, 2026: Baltic, SD 57003 In Thursday's non-league test, the Vermillion Tanagers (Vermillion, SD) basketball squad trounced the host Baltic Bulldogs (Baltic, SD), by a tally of 71-42.
The Tanagers now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Madison for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 13. Vermillion will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 63-58 non-league win over Worthington (Worthington, MN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, Baltic falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Chester (Chester, SD) to play the Flyers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 15. The Flyers come into the test with a record of 4-6. Chester won 54-46 in their recent non-league test against Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD)
