New Jersey High School Basketball - Staten Island Academy overwhelms Bayonne
January 9, 2022: Bayonne, NJ 07002 Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Staten Island Academy Tigers (Staten Island, NY) and the host Bayonne Bees (Bayonne, NJ), saw Staten Island Academy's basketball squad wallop Bayonne by a count of 66-39.
With the victory, Staten Island Academy upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to St. John's Prep (Astoria, NY) to play the Red Storm in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Red Storm come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. St. John's Prep won 62-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Holy Cross (Flushing, NY)
Next up, the Bees play the Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ) in a Hudson County - American challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. Bayonne will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Soaring Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 38-37 league loss to Hudson Catholic (Jersey City, NJ).
