Horizon Honors Eagles (Phoenix, AZ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Chandler Prep Titans (Chandler, AZ), 47-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Horizon Honors upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Santa Cruz Valley (Eloy, AZ) to play the Dust Devils in a 2A South bout on Thursday, January 12. The Dust Devils come into the bout with a record of 2-9. Santa Cruz Valley lost 73-28 in their recent league bout against Tempe Prep (Tempe, AZ)

Next up, the Titans play the Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas (Maricopa, AZ) in a 2A South bout, on Thursday, January 12. Chandler Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Pumas come into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 59-34 league loss to St. Augustine Catholic (Tucson, AZ).
