January 9, 2023: Springfield, VA 22150 Lewis Lancers (Springfield, VA) followers went home content Monday as they observed their basketball team notch a victory over the visiting McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA), 79-66 in a non-league game.
In their next game, the Lancers face the Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA) in a District 3 game, on Tuesday, January 10. Lewis will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 9-1 record after their 1-0 league win over Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA).
With the defeat, McLean moves to 5-6 on the year. The Highlanders travel to Herndon (Herndon, VA) to face the Hornets in a District 2 game on Tuesday, January 17. The Hornets enter the game with a record of 2-10.
