The Murphy Panthers basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the host West Florida Jaguars to 53 in the Panthers non-league victory on Monday.

The Panthers now sport a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saraland for a 6A Area 1 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Murphy will battle a Spartans team coming off a 50-47 league loss to Blount (Eight Mile, AL). The Spartans record now stands at 5-13.

The Jaguars (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Navarre (Navarre, FL). The Raiders come into the non-league contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Navarre was defeated by Gulf Breeze (Gulf Breeze, FL), 64-50, in a league contest.
