Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Greensburg Central Catholic crushes Berlin Brothersvalley
January 9, 2023: Berlin, PA 15530 Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions (Greensburg, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers (Berlin, PA), 59-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Greensburg Central Catholic upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Centurions travel to Clairton (Clairton, PA) to clash with the Bears in a WPIAL 2A 3 bout on Thursday, January 12. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Clairton lost 60-22 in their recent league bout against Serra Catholic (McKeesport, PA)
Next up, the Mountaineers clash with the Meyersdale Red Raiders (Meyersdale, PA) in a Western Pennsylvania - Southern bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Berlin Brothersvalley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 57-40 league win over Rockwood (Rockwood, PA).
