Ohio High School Basketball - Vermilion thwarts Clearview
January 9, 2023: Vermilion, OH 44089 The Vermilion Sailors (Vermilion, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Clearview Clippers (Lorain, OH), 41-29 in Monday's non-league test.
The Sailors (3-11) will now prepare for their test against Hopewell-Loudon (Bascom, OH). The Chieftains go into the non-league test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Hopewell-Loudon notched a victory over St. Mary Central Catholic (Sandusky, OH), 42-9, in a league test.
The Clippers now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Columbia for a Lorain County 8 test on Wednesday, January 11. Clearview will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 60-34 non-league loss to Brunswick (Brunswick, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 12-2.
