New Jersey High School Basketball - Matawan Regional ripped by Long Branch
January 9, 2023: Aberdeen, NJ 07747 The Long Branch Green Wave basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Matawan Regional Huskies to 22 in the Green Wave non-league triumph on Monday.
The Green Wave now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holmdel for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 12. Long Branch will meet a Hornets team coming off a 80-24 non-league loss to St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 6-4.
The Huskies (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Freehold Boro (Freehold, NJ). The Colonials enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Freehold Boro was routed by Raritan (Hazlet, NJ), 56-35, in a non-league contest.
