Homer Pelicans (Homer, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Haynesville Golden Tornado (Haynesville, LA), 66-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Homer upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Pelicans travel to Arcadia (Arcadia, LA) to play the Hornets in a 1A District 1 bout on Friday, January 12. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 5-10.

Next up, the Golden Tornado play the Green Oaks Giants (Shreveport, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Haynesville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Giants come into the bout with a 6-17 record after their 82-37 league win over North Caddo (Vivian, LA).
