Kentucky High School Basketball - Pendleton County holds off Montgomery County
January 9, 2024: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Pendleton County Wildcats (Falmouth, KY) and the host Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY), saw Pendleton County's basketball squad hold off Montgomery County by a tally of 71-70.
With the victory, Pendleton County improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Bourbon County (Paris, KY) to confront the Colonels in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Colonels come into the challenge with a record of 7-7. Bourbon County lost 68-46 in their recent league challenge against George Rogers Clark (Winchester, KY)
Next up, the Indians confront the George Rogers Clark Cardinals (Winchester, KY) in a District 40 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Montgomery County will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 15-1 record after their 68-46 league win over Bourbon County (Paris, KY).
