January 9, 2024: Wolsey, SD 57384 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds (Wolsey, SD) and the visiting Aberdeen Christian Knights (Aberdeen, SD), saw Wolsey-Wessington's basketball squad hold off Aberdeen Christian by a tally of 40-34.
With the victory, Wolsey-Wessington improves its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Warbirds host Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (Forestburg, SD) to confront the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 12. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket won 58-27 in their recent league battle against Kimball/White Lake (Kimball, SD)
The Knights (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] (Gettysburg, SD). The Battlers come into the non-league battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] edged Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD), 39-35, in a non-league battle.
