Louisiana High School Basketball - Ascension Catholic nips Episcopal
January 9, 2024: Baton Rouge, LA 70816 Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Episcopal Knights (Baton Rouge, LA), 45-39 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Ascension Catholic upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Plaquemine (Plaquemine, LA) to play the Green Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Green Devils come into the bout with a record of 11-4. Plaquemine lost 30-24 in their recent non-league bout against Scotlandville (Baton Rouge, LA)
Next up, the Knights play the University Lab Cubs (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Episcopal will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Cubs come into the bout with a 14-9 record after their 59-58 non-league loss to Woodlawn-B.R. (Baton Rouge, LA).
