Wisconsin High School Basketball - Butternut overwhelms Bayfield
January 9, 2024: Bayfield, WI 54814 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI) and the host Bayfield Trollers (Bayfield, WI), saw Butternut's basketball squad wallop Bayfield by a tally of 62-23.
With the victory, Butternut improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Midgets host Drummond (Drummond, WI) to confront the Lumberjacks in a Northern Lights challenge on Friday, January 12. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. Drummond won 49-23 in their recent league challenge against Washburn (Washburn, WI)
Next up, the Trollers confront the Mercer Tigers (Mercer, WI) in a Northern Lights challenge, on Friday, January 12. Bayfield will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 49-33 league loss to Mellen (Mellen, WI).
