The United South Central Rebels basketball team (Wells, MN), was overwhelmed 77-44 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN)

The Eagles now possess a 16-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oakes for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 11. Maple River will confront a Tornadoes team coming off a 47-34 non-league loss to Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock (Linton, ND). The Tornadoes record now stands at 9-2.

The Rebels (3-8) will now prepare for their battle against Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Kenyon-Wanamingo trounced Schaeffer Academy (Rochester, MN), 51-28, in a non-league battle.
