Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hope Blue Wave (Providence, RI), 54-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Johnston upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Panthers host Cranston West (Cranston, RI) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Cranston West lost 68-60 in their recent non-league bout against Tolman (Pawtucket, RI)

Next up, the Blue Wave play the Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Hope will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 33-30 non-league loss to Tiverton (Tiverton, RI).
