The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Meridian Trojans (Bellingham, WA) and the host Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA), observed Meridian's basketball team knock off Anacortes by a score of 65-54.

The Trojans (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA). The Pioneers come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 5-5 record. In their last challenge, Nooksack Valley prevailed over Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA), 51-46, in a league challenge.
