In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Franklin Panthers basketball team scored a good 73-64 triumph over the Andrews Wildcats.

The Panthers (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Falcons go into the 3A Mountain 7 contest with a 2-13 record. In their last contest, West Henderson was topped by A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC), 62-35, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Summit Charter Bears (Cashiers, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Andrews will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Bears go into the contest with a 1-8 record after their 76-47 non-league loss to Swain County (Bryson City, NC).
