January 9, 2025: West Grove, PA 19390 Downingtown West Whippets (Downingtown, PA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Avon Grove Red Devils (West Grove, PA), 77-51 in a league match.
With the victory, Downingtown West advances its record to 7-7 on the year. The Whippets travel to Norristown (Norristown, PA) to meet the Eagles in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 2-11. Norristown lost 63-53 in their recent non-league match against Dock Mennonite (Lansdale, PA)
The Red Devils now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bayard Rustin for a non-league match on Saturday, January 11. Avon Grove will meet a Golden Knights squad coming off a 51-49 league loss to Great Valley (Malvern, PA). The Golden Knights record now stands at 3-9.
