In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Pope John Paul II Jaguars basketball team scored a close 52-49 triumph over the Benjamin Franklin Falcons.

The Jaguars (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Franklinton (Franklinton, LA). The Demons go into the non-league contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Franklinton nipped Amite (Amite, LA), 79-74, in a non-league contest.
