Brookstone Cougars (Columbus, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Strong Rock Christian Patriots (Locust Grove, GA), 40-35 in a league match.

With the victory, Brookstone upgrades its record to 9-7 on the year. The Cougars host Schley County (Ellaville, GA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Saturday, January 11. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 2-9. Schley County lost 85-76 in their recent league match against Central (Talbotton, GA)

The Patriots now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Flint River Academy for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14.
