January 9, 2025: Goldsboro, NC 27530 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Coastal Christian Centurions (Wilmington, NC) and the host Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), observed Coastal Christian's basketball team overwhelm Wayne Christian by a score of 65-43.
The Centurions (3-13) will now prepare for their challenge against John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC). The Saints come into the NCISAA Coastal Plain challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, John Paul II Catholic trounced Liberty Christian Academy (Richlands, NC), 64-51, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Wayne Country Day Chargers (Goldsboro, NC) in a NCISAA Coastal Plain challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Wayne Christian will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 19-3 record after their 67-61 non-league win over Trinity Christian (Fayetteville, NC).
