New York High School Basketball - Cornwall Central thwarts Minisink Valley
January 9, 2025: New Windsor, NY 12553 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) and the visiting Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY), observed Cornwall Central's basketball team knock off Minisink Valley by a score of 66-51.
The Dragons (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley Central (Montgomery, NY). The Vikings come into the Section 9 Orange County II challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Valley Central was knocked off by Warwick (Warwick, NY), 59-42, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County II challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Minisink Valley will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Wizards come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 60-35 league win over Monticello (Monticello, NY).
