New Jersey High School Basketball - East Side trounced by St. Benedict's Prep
January 9, 2025: Newark, NJ 07102 St. Benedict's Prep Gray Bees (Newark, NJ) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ), 78-50 in a league match.
With the victory, St. Benedict's Prep advances its record to 4-2 on the year. The Gray Bees travel to Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy (Dallas, TX) to meet the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, January 11. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 13-5. Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy won 69-60 in their recent non-league match against St. Rose (Belmar, NJ)
The Red Raiders now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newark Central for a Super Essex - Liberty match on Tuesday, January 14. East Side will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 52-46 non-league loss to West Caldwell Tech (West Caldwell, NJ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-7.
