New York High School Basketball - Walton holds off Gompers
January 9, 2025: Bronx, NY 10455 The Walton Wildcats basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Gompers Panthers to 62 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Wildcats now possess a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Mott Haven for a non-league game on Monday, January 13. Walton will confront a Mavericks team coming off a 90-53 non-league loss to Evander Childs (Bronx, NY). The Mavericks record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Gompers falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Bronx High School of Science (Bronx, NY) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league game on Monday, January 13. The Wolverines go into the game with a record of 13-1. Bronx High School of Science won 67-45 in their recent non-league game against Hostos Lincoln Academy (Bronx, NY)
