The Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets basketball squad (Grand Island, NE), was crushed 70-37 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Riverside Chargers (Cedar Rapids, NE)

With the victory, Riverside advances its record to 5-6 on the year. The Chargers travel to Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE) to meet the Huskies in a non-league battle on Friday, January 10. The Huskies enter the battle with a record of 3-5. Shelby-Rising City lost 54-51 in their recent non-league battle against High Plains (Polk, NE)

The Red Hornets now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Silver Lake for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 11.
