The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Tabiona Tigers (Tabiona, UT) and the visiting Mount Vernon Patriots (Murray, UT), observed Tabiona's basketball team overwhelm Mount Vernon by a score of 71-16.

The Tigers (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Tintic (Eureka, UT). The Miners come into the 1A Region 22 challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Tintic was routed by Wendover (Wendover, UT), 61-55, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Utah School for the Deaf & Blind Eagles (Ogden, UT) in a 1A Region 21 challenge, on Wednesday, January 15. Mount Vernon will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record.
