In Thursday's league contest, the host Walker Wolverines basketball team scored a good 70-59 win over the Mount Vernon Mustangs.

The Wolverines (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against King's Ridge Christian (Alpharetta, GA). The Tigers come into the A D1 Region 5 contest with a 7-7 record.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Mount Paran Christian Eagles (Kennesaw, GA) in a A D1 Region 5 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Mount Vernon will attempt to better on its 7-8 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 8-8 record after their 73-69 league loss to Mt. Bethel Christian Academy (Marietta, GA).
