Rhode Island High School Basketball - North Providence thwarts Pilgrim
January 9, 2025: Warwick, RI 02888 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the North Providence Cougars (North Providence, RI) and the host Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI), observed North Providence's basketball team knock off Pilgrim by a score of 59-47.
The Cougars (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI). The Skippers come into the Division I challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, North Kingstown dropped by Lincoln (Lincoln, RI), 69-57, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Patriots encounter the Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI) in a Division II challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Pilgrim will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Quakers come into the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 77-60 league win over St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI).
