Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT), 53-46 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Westerly advances its record to 4-5 on the year. The Bulldogs host South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI) to face the Rebels in a Division I match on Friday, January 10. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 2-7. South Kingstown lost 52-29 in their recent non-league match against Narragansett (Narragansett, RI)

The Falcons now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodstock Academy for a Eastern Connecticut - 1 match on Saturday, January 11. Fitch will face a Centaurs squad coming off a 55-30 non-league win over Plainfield (Central Village, CT). The Centaurs record now stands at 7-0.
