Iowa High School Basketball - WACO fells Iowa Valley
January 9, 2025: Wayland, IA 52654 The WACO Warriors basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Iowa Valley Tigers to 35 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Warriors now have a 7-2 record. They play next when they host New London for a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. WACO will confront a Tigers team coming off a 47-17 non-league loss to Danville (Danville, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-11.
With the loss, Iowa Valley falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA) to confront the Warhawks in a South Iowa Cedar game on Friday, January 10. The Warhawks go into the game with a record of 9-1. North Mahaska won 59-44 in their recent league game against Sigourney (Sigourney, IA)
