The Piper Pirates basketball team scored 81 points and limited the host Lansing Lions to 33 in the Pirates league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Shawnee Heights for a United Kansas game on Tuesday, January 14. Piper will play a Thunderbirds team coming off a 0-0 league Leavenworth (Leavenworth, KS). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Lansing falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Seaman (Topeka, KS) to play the Vikings in a United Kansas game on Friday, January 10. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 5-0. Seaman won 53-50 in their recent league game against De Soto (De Soto, KS)
