Iowa High School Basketball - Cherokee Washington tops West Monona
January 10, 2022: Onawa, IA 51040 Cherokee Washington Braves (Cherokee, IA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA), 67-50 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Cherokee Washington upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Braves host East Sac County (Lake View, IA) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 13. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 3-7. East Sac County lost 56-51 in their recent non-league bout against Kuemper (Carroll, IA)
Next up, the Spartans play the Westwood Rebels (Sloan, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 11. West Monona will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 88-53 league loss to Ridge View (Holstein, IA).
