Texas High School Basketball - Booker thwarts Memphis
January 10, 2023: Memphis, TX 79245 The Booker Kiowas (Booker, TX) basketball knocked off the host Memphis Cyclones (Memphis, TX), 39-22 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Kiowas (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX). The Eagles go into the 2A Region I District 1 test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Sanford-Fritch went down by Nazareth (Nazareth, TX), 51-39, in a non-league test.
The Cyclones now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they host Clarendon for a 2A Region I District 2 test on Friday, January 13. Memphis will encounter a Broncos squad coming off a 46-38 non-league loss to Childress (Childress, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 4-6.
