The Vinton Lions basketball team scored 56 points and held the host DeQuincy Tigers to 47 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grand Lake for a 2A District 5 contest on Tuesday, January 17.

The Tigers (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Welsh (Welsh, LA). The Greyhounds enter the 2A District 5 contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Welsh ran past East Beauregard (DeRidder, LA), 64-41, in a non-league contest.
