The East Ascension Spartans basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Northside Vikings to 55 in the Spartans non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dutchtown for a 5A District 5 contest on Wednesday, January 11. East Ascension will battle a Griffins team coming off a 39-29 non-league win over Tara (Baton Rouge, LA). The Griffins record now stands at 5-6.

The Vikings (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Acadiana (Lafayette, LA). The Rams come into the non-league contest with a 1-14 record.
