Ohio High School Basketball - Oakwood can't hold off Fairmont
January 10, 2023: Kettering, OH 45429 The Fairmont Firebirds basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Oakwood Lumberjacks to 50 in the Firebirds non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Firebirds now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wayne for a Greater Western Ohio contest on Wednesday, January 18. Fairmont will battle a Warriors team coming off a 74-61 league win over Miamisburg (Miamisburg, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 10-2.
The Lumberjacks (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Preble Shawnee (Camden, OH). The Arrows come into the non-league contest with a 13-1 record. In their last contest, Preble Shawnee edged Ansonia (Ansonia, OH), 70-44, in a league contest.
