January 10, 2023: Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064 The Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME) basketball knocked off the visiting Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME), 86-70 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Seagulls (9-0) will now prepare for their test against Wells (Wells, ME). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Wells notched a victory over Freeport (Freeport, ME), 52-45, in a non-league test.
The Black Bears now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Waterville for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12. Maranacook will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 64-44 non-league loss to Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 4-5.
