West Virginia High School Basketball - Ripley over Parkersburg

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) and the visiting Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV), saw Ripley's basketball squad overcome Parkersburg by a tally of 70-62.

With the victory, Ripley improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Winfield (Winfield, WV) to confront the Generals in a Cardinal challenge on Friday, January 13. The Generals come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Winfield lost 72-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV)

Next up, the Big Reds confront the St. Albans Red Dragons (St. Albans, WV) in a Mountain State challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Parkersburg will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Red Dragons come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 57-44 league win over Hurricane (Hurricane, WV).
