Texas High School Basketball - Amarillo crushes Palo Duro

January 10, 2023: Amarillo, TX 79107

Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Palo Duro Dons (Amarillo, TX), 62-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Amarillo upgrades its record to 25-3 on the season. The Sandies host Tascosa (Amarillo, TX) to play the Rebels in a 5A Region I District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 8-4.

Next up, the Dons play the Tascosa Rebels (Amarillo, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, January 13. Palo Duro will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 66-31 league win over Caprock (Amarillo, TX).
