Virginia High School Basketball - Prince Edward County holds off Amelia County
January 10, 2023: Farmville, VA 23901 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA) and the visiting Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA), saw Prince Edward County's basketball squad hold off Amelia County by a tally of 36-32.
With the victory, Prince Edward County improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA) to confront the Statesmen in a James River challenge on Friday, January 13. The Statesmen come into the challenge with a record of 0-10. Randolph-Henry lost 50-29 in their recent league challenge against Nottoway (Nottoway, VA)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) in a James River challenge, on Friday, January 13. Amelia County will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 51-28 league loss to Buckingham (Buckingham, VA).
