Cherokee Warriors (Canton, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Walton Raiders (Marietta, GA), 61-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Cherokee upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Warriors travel to North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA) to play the Warriors in a AAAAAAA Region 5 bout on Friday, January 13. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 8-8. North Cobb won 46-16 in their recent league bout against Wheeler (Marietta, GA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs (Kennesaw, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 5 bout, on Friday, January 13. Walton will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 1-14 record after their 52-37 league win over Osborne (Marietta, GA).
