The Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the host Independence Eagles to 46 in the Golden Eagles non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coffee County Central for a 4A District 6 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Shelbyville Central will battle a Red Raiders team coming off a 78-41 non-league win over Lincoln County (Fayetteville, TN). The Red Raiders record now stands at 19-1.

The Eagles (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Nolensville (Nolensville, TN). The come into the 4A District 12 contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Nolensville edged Franklin (Franklin, TN), 57-25, in a non-league contest.
