Missouri High School Basketball - Platte County tops Lafayette
January 10, 2024: St. Joseph, MO 64505 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO) and the host Lafayette Fighting Irish (St. Joseph, MO), saw Platte County's basketball squad knock off Lafayette by a tally of 62-52.
With the victory, Platte County improves its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Smithville (Smithville, MO) to play the Warriors in a Freelance challenge on Friday, January 12. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Smithville lost 65-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Lafayette (St. Joseph, MO)
Next up, the Fighting Irish play the Smithville Warriors (Smithville, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Lafayette will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 61-51 non-league loss to Benton (St. Joseph, MO).
