The Nimitz Cougars basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Spring Lions to 46 in the Cougars league victory on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aldine for a 6A Region II District 14 contest on Saturday, January 13. Nimitz will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 59-37 league loss to Benjamin Davis (Houston, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-21.

The Lions (12-11) will now prepare for their contest against Benjamin Davis (Houston, TX). The Falcons come into the 6A Region II District 14 contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Benjamin Davis edged Aldine (Houston, TX), 59-37, in a league contest.
