In Wednesday's league outing, the Golden Valley Cougars (Merced, CA) basketball squad nipped the host El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA), by a margin of 30-26.

The Cougars (12-7) will now prepare for their outing against Central Valley (Ceres, CA). The Hawks go into the outing with a 2-4 record.
